Snow on Willow Bridge - Ohara Koson Phone Case

Snow on Willow Bridge opens mid-gust. Two women cross an arched wooden bridge, their wagasa tilted like shields against a sky of dove gray paper. Ohara Koson, the Kanazawa-born master of shin-hanga, carved this Japanese woodblock print as a held second. Flakes freeze in the air and freckle a black kimono beside a wisteria violet robe lined in vermilion. Koson spent decades on kachō-e, crows and herons perched among branches. Here two birds cross the distance like a signature tucked into the storm. Past them, village rooftops sink under white, an ukiyo-e echo drowned in snow.
