Fine Art Print FAQs

Materials, Finishes, Inks & Printing

What is the paper's finish?

Premium, museum-quality heavyweight fine art paper with a smooth matte finish. Rendering graphic art, illustrations, paintings and photography with clarity and consistency. Emphasising true to life highlights and tones in the source artworks. Letting colors, light and shadow tell their full story.

Materials used for the paper?

Archival-grade, 200gsm matte art paper elevates art beyond the ordinary.

FSC® certified—meaning every tree harvested is replaced, every worker treated fairly and local communities' rights respected.

What printing inks are used?

Neo pigment, water-based inks that are 100% non-hazardous and toxin-free. Meeting the strictest industry standards as defined by Oeko-Tex 100 safety applications, Residues Standard List (RSL) and the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists.

These water-based inks contain enhanced light stabilisers, offering far more durability than dye-based inks and protecting the vibrancy of your prints for over 100 years in ideal conditions.

How is the art printed?

Forget 4 color CMYK. Giclée printing layers up to 12 — alive with deeper shadows, richer highlights and multidimensional contrasts. Especially when printed using a pro-lab process that helps your art stay bold & breathtaking for a lifetime. With non-toxic, archival-grade pigment inks that can dazzle for 100+ years when treated with care.

What frames are available?

Chevron cut frames crafted from sustainably sourced FSC® wood with an ultra-clear perspex glaze and delivered ready to hang with a premium fine art print.

What colors are the frames?

The frames are available in 3 distinctive colors:

1. Black: Inky undertones suit everything from bold modernity to gothic opulence.

2. White: A crisp look that helps art shine brighter in dark rooms to lift your mood.

3. Natural: Infuses warmth wherever it roams with those rich, honeyed tones.

What are the frame dimensions?
  • Depth from wall: 22mm
  • Face width: 20mm
  • Rebate width: 5mm
  • Rebate depth: 17mm
Do the framed prints include mount borders?

Yes they do. All the mount borders are chic, acid-free and “conservation grade” with a depth of 2.4mm. Just like the ones used in art galleries and museums. Ensuring your art print remains vivid and free from discoloration for decades to come.
