About the Wall Art
Fine Art Prints

Forget cheap reproductions and printable posters. Only the best will do.
Velvety matte fine art paper (warm white, archival-grade, 200gsm) with bold, vibrant, non-toxic pigment inks. High-definition print lab techniques give you sharper details, deeper saturation and true-to-life tones. While the matte surface keeps glare down and archival-grade materials mean the colors you fall for stay vivid for decades.
Framed Fine Art Prints

Your print arrives framed and ready to hang, so it goes straight from the box to your wall.
Chevron cut wooden frames make a timeless statement in three distinctive colors: black, white and natural. Each frame is made of sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine. And your artwork is protected behind ultra-clear perspex glaze that’s lighter than glass and shatter-resistant.
Float Framed Canvas Prints

Luscious artist-grade cotton canvas, hand-stretched and finely textured, gives every detail depth and precision, catching light and color with striking clarity. While a precisely measured floating frame leaves a slim gap around the canvas, so it seems to hover with a sleek, gallery-worthy effect. Finished with your choice of frame color — black, white or natural — made from sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine.
Giclée Printing

Forget 4 color CMYK. Giclée layers up to 12 — alive with deeper shadows, richer highlights and multidimensional contrasts. Pro-lab printing process helps art stay bold & breathtaking for up to 100 years. And the neo-pigment, water-based inks are 100% non-hazardous and toxin-free.
About the Artwork
The interpreter's wife and daughter sit for the visitor in their own home, and the sheet records every stitch. Eugène Delacroix seats one woman in a white blouse with a gold-stitched bodice and a green skirt panelled in ochre, then hangs coral beads at her throat and sets red slippers below and a tall dark cap above. The other leans in over the chair in a yellow headscarf over a teal hood.
The names carry two languages: Saada is Arabic for happiness and Préciada is the Judeo-Spanish form of precious. By the usual account of his Moroccan trip, Muslim women would not sit for a foreign painter, and the Jewish households of Tangier were where he could draw women from life. This sheet exists because one family opened its door.
Abraham Ben-Chimol worked as a Jewish interpreter for the French mission of 1832 under Charles de Mornay, which is how the painter attached to it came to sit in his house. Many Tangier families of Sephardic descent traced their ancestors to Spain and 1492, and the gold-stitched dress here is theirs.
Saada, the Wife of Abraham Ben-Chimol, and Préciada, One of Their Daughters awaits your bedroom or hallway as a Moroccan family portrait where a mother and her child hold the room's attention without a word.
