Shadow licks him. Fern, bark and loam become a chiaroscuro of temptation. One leg drawn, one arm slack, he balances between anatomy and carnality. No fig leaf here: only the luxurious tension of queer potential and disobedient flesh.
Alexandre Cabanel—famed for his Salons and Olympia nudes—renders Eden as a slick mirage of sweat and suspended sin. Adam as a temple not of worship but of latency—queer, pagan, post-Hellenic.
