About the Artist

Vincent van Gogh, born in 1853 in Zundert, was a Dutch post-impressionist artist who transformed canvases into expressions of intense emotion.

His works, like "Olive Trees" and "Almond Blossom," are filled with thick impasto brushstrokes that capture the human condition and the natural world in vivid color. Van Gogh's florals are not just still lifes but vibrant symbols of his resilience against inner turmoil.

Supported by his brother Theo, van Gogh battled poverty and mental struggles, producing a prolific body of work over just a decade. His journey, from the fields of Arles to the asylum at Saint-Rémy, was marked by both brilliance and hardship.

Though he died at 37, van Gogh's legacy endures, his bold colors and expressive technique continuing to redefine artistic boundaries and inspire generations.
