Looking at these Acacia Trees of Deadvlei, mortality becomes architecture. In a valley between the dunes in the Namib-Naukluft Park in Namibia, the skeletal acacia trees root in salt-white clay, reaching toward a sky dense with ancient sand. Standing as the memory of flame without heat. Trunks carved by centuries of sun, speaking a language of mineral endurance.
