Description

Feast your eyes on this avian drama, where Ohara Koson breathes life into feathered family. Two sparrows, locked in a tender moment, perch delicately on twisting branches. Their plumage, a symphony of earth tones, contrasts the pale backdrop and verdant leaves above. This iPhone case doesn't just protect your device; it transports you to a tranquil Japanese garden.

Koson's mastery of kachō-e shines through every detail. The birds' eyes gleam with personality, while their beaks nearly touch in an intimate feeding ritual. Delicate flora frames the scene, each leaf meticulously rendered. This isn't mere decoration – it's a slice of Meiji-era artistry adorning your everyday tech.

Let this case be your portal to ukiyo-e's golden age. As you scroll and swipe, glimpse a world where nature's subtle beauty reigns supreme. Koson's sparrows remind us to pause, observe, and find wonder in life's small moments – all while keeping your iPhone safe in style.

About the Artist

Ohara Koson, born in 1877 in Kanazawa, was a Japanese woodblock artist whose prints capture the fleeting beauty of nature. He revitalized traditional ukiyo-e through the shin-hanga movement, transforming each kachō-e piece into an exquisite meditation on nature’s poetry. Cranes in mid-flight, cherry blossoms poised to fall—Koson’s art captures ephemeral elegance with soft pigments and negative space, evoking a quiet resonance.

Koson's portfolio chronicles Japan’s shifting identity during the Meiji, Taishō, and Shōwa periods. His work, forgotten after his death in 1945, has since risen, symbolizing the timeless harmony between tradition and innovation.
