Red Peony - Taguchi Tomoki Art Print
Couldn't load pickup availability
A rust-red exhalation spreads across rice paper. Taguchi Tomoki pressed this peony into being during the twilight of the Edo period, when ukiyo-e masters still carved cherry wood with reverence for the fleeting.
Each petal in this Japanese woodblock print bears the weight of a dynasty's botanical obsession. Crimson layers unfurl like the hem of a courtesan's robe. Black veins thread through foliage with the precision of a calligrapher's final stroke.
The Yatsuo no tsubaki series captured nature's aristocracy at the moment of full declaration. Here, the flower refuses containment. Stems arc outward in defiance of the picture plane's edge. The antique print whispering of nature study elevated to spiritual practice.
This vintage print embodies nineteenth-century Japanese art's devotion to decorative arts that serve no function but revelation. Collectors of Asian art recognize the flat color fields as signatures of traditional printmaking. Fine art print enthusiasts trace the woodcut technique where blade met grain to liberate this blossom from silence.

Framed Art Prints

1. Vertical
Use the sawtooth hanger at the top middle on the back of the frame and hang it on a single screw or nail.

2. Horizontal
Hang the two sawtooth hangers on two screws or nails at the same heightPut two screws or nails in the wall at the same height, spaced the same distance apart as the two sawtooth hangers, then hang your print on them.

Framed Canvas

1. D-rings (most secure)
Screw a D-ring onto the back of the frame on the left and right, both at the same height. A ruler helps here. Then put two screws in the wall where you want your canvas, level with each other and spaced the same distance apart as the D-rings. A spirit level makes this easier. Finally, hook the D-rings onto the screws.

2. Straight onto screws
Keep it simple: put two screws in the wall at the same height and rest the inner lip at the top of the back of the frame on them.
