About the Artwork
A burnished guardian stares from the phone’s back, his leonine brow heavy with centuries. Cast in gilt relief, the face emerges from a crimson field alive with scrolling acanthus, trellis lattice, and curling tendrils of foliage.
This is Wyatt’s ode to French Boulle marquetry, where brass and tortoiseshell once danced beneath candlelight in royal salons. The pattern hums with Baroque theatricality. Metal’s cool precision meeting velvet-like reds that glow as if lit from within. Every contour feels sculpted for intrigue: locks of hair carved like coiled flame, mouth set in a half-snarl, half-warning.
