About the Artwork
Under a bruised sky, spectral forms collide like smoke and thunder. Pryanishnikov renders the folklore of Bald Mountain as riot: witches, fiends, and the earth itself alive with malice.
The oil surface boils—knife scratches, impasto clots, chromatic violence in amber, soot, and lead-white. Each motion pulls the eye through a circle of madness where pagan ritual meets Christian nightmare.
