Michelangelo, ever the anatomical provocateur, renders no saint here, no martyr. Only the soft tyranny of masculine spectacle. And that drapery beneath him? A theatrical sigh as much as comfort. Headband tightening like a Roman oath, keeping logic from spilling into erotic excess.
