About the Artwork
Robert Delaunay's Eiffel Tower shatters upward through a kaleidoscope of cadmium yellow, vermilion, and emerald arc. The 1910s Orphist master dismantled Parisian iron into pure chromatic vibration, letting simultaneous contrast theory blaze across every girder.
Delaunay's brush drags lime-green crescents beside lavender wedges, forcing the eye to spin through prismatic rhythm rather than settle on fixed form. The lattice tilts at an impossible angle, its ladder rungs glowing tangerine against cream negative space.
Delaunay borrowed Cubism's fracture and drenched it in spectrum—no monochrome austerity here—his hues surge at full velocity. Cobalt slices beneath coral, each stroke a chord struck in the key of modernist Paris. The tower becomes pure color-music, steel singing in rainbow frequencies, iron transformed into a Ferris wheel of light.
