About This Artwork
Beneath a canopy of cobalt, G.A. Audsley's blue fan pattern unfolds as a cosmic riddle. A portal to a mythical sky where dragons do not merely guard treasures but compose symphonies of chaos and balance. Their gilded bodies coil through currents of rippling cloud bands, which rise like the breath of ancient mountains, shaping a landscape as transient as dreams yet as deliberate as scripture. These dragons do not roar; their silence hums with an alchemy of creation, their golden scales glinting like fragmented suns.
Between their serpentine arcs, floral emblems bloom, neither fully botanical nor entirely celestial, suggesting the fragile in-betweenness of life and eternity. The cobalt plane beneath, far from static, churns like an abyss disguised as serenity, its surface tethered by ornamental tides that ebb and surge with an unseen rhythm.
This isn’t merely decoration—it’s a cosmology rendered in color and form, where Audsley’s hand doesn’t replicate but reimagines the universe’s architecture, fractal by fractal.
