A crow cupped like a heart outside its chest. Anchoring them with an appetite for desire.
This is Mars as queer dom, Mercury as ruinous muse. Oil renders their bodies in dialects of friction. No mercy in the brushwork. Varnishing communion in sweat and flagrant shadow, oiled ochres, muted jades, arterial crimsons—the absence of background devouring distance. Flesh roped in threadbare silk and pressed to near-divine standoff. And still, it smolders.
