About the Artwork
Night gathers like velvet ash, and four woodland men spark a storm of touch. Antlers crown a pale elder who leans in with frost-lit poise, his ribs picked out by chiaroscuro that cuts the dark like flint. The central body burns with coral glaze; pigment drag traces tendon, underpainting breathes through at the hips, impasto flashes along the shoulder. Opposite, a soot-smudged satyr grins, ochre clinging to beard and chest as if he rose from lichen and bark.
Antlered god, bacchanal heat, wild hunt energy. Baroque dynamism coils through every stroke, from smoke-thin filaments to umber thickets. An animist rite seems to unfurl without altar or hymn, just horn, breathless closeness, and paint that moves like animals in the dark.
