Axel - Gay German Astronaut Art Print

Fine Art Prints

Forget cheap reproductions and printable posters. Only the best will do.

Velvety matte fine art paper (warm white, archival-grade, 200gsm) with bold, vibrant, non-toxic pigment inks. High-definition print lab techniques give you sharper details, deeper saturation and true-to-life tones. While the matte surface keeps glare down and archival-grade materials mean the colors you fall for stay vivid for decades.

Framed Fine Art Prints

Your print arrives framed and ready to hang, so it goes straight from the box to your wall.

Chevron cut wooden frames make a timeless statement in three distinctive colors: black, white and natural. Each frame is made of sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine. And your artwork is protected behind ultra-clear perspex glaze that’s lighter than glass and shatter-resistant.

Float Framed Canvas Prints

Luscious artist-grade cotton canvas, hand-stretched and finely textured, gives every detail depth and precision, catching light and color with striking clarity. While a precisely measured floating frame leaves a slim gap around the canvas, so it seems to hover with a sleek, gallery-worthy effect. Finished with your choice of frame color — black, white or natural — made from sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine.

Giclée Printing

Axel stands at the threshold of time and space, a gay German astronaut suspended between past and future. His steel-blue eyes reflect a universe both familiar and unknown—an explorer not just of the stars, but of identity, queerness, and self. His steampunk-inspired spacesuit glows under celestial light, its intricate embroidery whispering of Wilhelmine-era craftsmanship, Bauhaus precision, and Weimar decadence. Burnished brass and Byzantine filigree lace his retro-futuristic cosmonaut gear, a relic of an alternate timeline where gay German pioneers left footprints among the constellations.

The curve of his helmet mirrors the celestial rings behind him. A cosmic halo, anointed with queer mythology, a baptism of moonlight and stardust. The orbiting planets are not just celestial bodies; they are silent witnesses to every hidden love story in a Prussian officer’s quarters, every whispered vow in Berlin’s cabarets, every act of defiance against laws that tried to erase men like him. Axel wears his legacy boldly—his waxed mustache a nod to 19th-century dandyism, his tailored suit a manifesto of resistance.

This is not just a LGBTQ+ sci-fi art print. It is an elegy, a revolution, a love letter to every queer soul who ever dreamed beyond gravity.
