About the Wall Art
Fine Art Prints

Forget cheap reproductions and printable posters. Only the best will do.
Velvety matte fine art paper (warm white, archival-grade, 200gsm) with bold, vibrant, non-toxic pigment inks. High-definition print lab techniques give you sharper details, deeper saturation and true-to-life tones. While the matte surface keeps glare down and archival-grade materials mean the colors you fall for stay vivid for decades.
Framed Fine Art Prints

Your print arrives framed and ready to hang, so it goes straight from the box to your wall.
Chevron cut wooden frames make a timeless statement in three distinctive colors: black, white and natural. Each frame is made of sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine. And your artwork is protected behind ultra-clear perspex glaze that’s lighter than glass and shatter-resistant.
Float Framed Canvas Prints

Luscious artist-grade cotton canvas, hand-stretched and finely textured, gives every detail depth and precision, catching light and color with striking clarity. While a precisely measured floating frame leaves a slim gap around the canvas, so it seems to hover with a sleek, gallery-worthy effect. Finished with your choice of frame color — black, white or natural — made from sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine.
Giclée Printing

Forget 4 color CMYK. Giclée layers up to 12 — alive with deeper shadows, richer highlights and multidimensional contrasts. Pro-lab printing process helps art stay bold & breathtaking for up to 100 years. And the neo-pigment, water-based inks are 100% non-hazardous and toxin-free.
About the Artwork
Five passersby cross a gray-brown square and each goes somewhere different. A rust-red minaret with a green tip stands above the whitewash. Moroccan builders reserving green tile for mosques and shrines, so the green tip works as an address that every roof in town can read.
Moroccan minarets are four-sided, and Hugo Backmansson builds this one in stacked panels of rust the way a mason would lay it. The upper shaft of the tower turns peach where the light strikes it. Below it the shops open in mustard, teal and orange, and white-robed shapes wait in the shade of the doorways while a blue wall at the right cools the corner.
The pigment stands in thick ridges of oil where the walls catch the light, and thin gray scrubs leave the canvas weave showing through the cloud. Shadow under each awning goes deep brown, which makes the cloth outside it burn. In the 1920s Tangier was run as an international zone, and a market square like this one served traders of every flag.
Street scene in Tangier awaits your hallway or living room as a Moroccan shopfront painting, where one green cap and a row of bright awnings turn a plain wall into market morning.
