Every ridge carries the texture of vanished forests, each fracture a record of volcanic dust and colonial collecting. The Burton Brothers fixed it in chiaroscuro so exact it turns extinction into sculpture.
The camera isolates bone from myth, binding avian anatomy to photographic alchemy. Grain meets fossil grain, Victorian science framed like mourning jewelry. What remains is tactile silence—calcified cartilage, mineral bloom, the curve of a beak once engineered for ferns.
