Lysander - Gay Black Dandy Cowboy Art Print

Fine Art Prints

Forget cheap reproductions and printable posters. Only the best will do. Velvety matte fine art paper (warm white, archival-grade, 200gsm) with bold, vibrant, non-toxic pigment inks.

High-definition print lab techniques give you sharper details, deeper saturation and true-to-life tones.

The matte surface keeps glare down and archival-grade materials mean the colors you fall for stay vivid for decades.

Framed Fine Art Prints

Your print arrives framed and ready to hang, so it goes straight from the box to your wall.

Chevron cut wooden frames make a timeless statement in three distinctive colors: black, white and natural.

Each frame is made of sustainably sourced FSC® certified European knotless pine, finished with ultra-clear perspex glaze that’s lighter than glass and shatter-resistant.

Float Framed Canvas Prints

Luscious artist-grade cotton canvas, hand-stretched and finely textured, gives every detail depth and precision. Its natural white surface catches light and color with striking clarity.

A precisely measured floating frame leaves a slim gap around the canvas, so it seems to hover with a sleek, gallery-worthy effect.

Your choice of a black, white or natural frame: all made from sustainably sourced FSC® certified European knotless pine.

Giclée Printing

Lysander doesn't wear history—he inhabits it, remakes it, stitches it into the fabric of his own becoming. A gay Black cowboy dandy, yes, but more than that—he is the hush before a storm, the ember still smoldering long after the fire. His wide-brimmed Stetson, tilted just so, does not bow to the past, nor does it hide him from it. Instead, it crowns him, its patterned band a quiet invocation of those who once rode these lands long before borders were drawn.

His bespoke cowboy jacket is a contradiction made beautiful—worn yet regal, its intricate patchwork reminiscent of Gee’s Bend quilts, where generations of Black hands turned scraps into masterpieces. The threads do not simply hold fabric together; they hold memory. A timeworn elegance, stitched with defiance. Around his neck, a silk bandana, knotted with intention, bears the dust of a thousand untold stories—stories of Buffalo Soldiers, of Creole trail riders, of queerness not as an anomaly but as a birthright. Wildflowers bloom against its folds, not fragile, but fearless—rooted in sunbaked soil, thriving where the world said they could not.

And the backdrop? It shifts—just as the West always has. Not a place, but a promise. A painted desert of spectral cowboy cartography, where the past does not fade but rises like heat from the earth. Here, Lysander does not seek permission to exist. He simply does. A sovereign spirit, carved from open sky, leather, and the unshaken knowledge that he has always belonged.
