Evening, Tangiers - Sir John Lavery Art Print

Fine Art Prints

Forget cheap reproductions and printable posters. Only the best will do.

Velvety matte fine art paper (warm white, archival-grade, 200gsm) with bold, vibrant, non-toxic pigment inks. High-definition print lab techniques give you sharper details, deeper saturation and true-to-life tones. While the matte surface keeps glare down and archival-grade materials mean the colors you fall for stay vivid for decades.

Framed Fine Art Prints

Your print arrives framed and ready to hang, so it goes straight from the box to your wall.

Chevron cut wooden frames make a timeless statement in three distinctive colors: black, white and natural. Each frame is made of sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine. And your artwork is protected behind ultra-clear perspex glaze that’s lighter than glass and shatter-resistant.

Float Framed Canvas Prints

Luscious artist-grade cotton canvas, hand-stretched and finely textured, gives every detail depth and precision, catching light and color with striking clarity. While a precisely measured floating frame leaves a slim gap around the canvas, so it seems to hover with a sleek, gallery-worthy effect. Finished with your choice of frame color — black, white or natural — made from sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine.

Giclée Printing

The tea has gone cold on the table since she started gazing out across the bay. Sir John Lavery leaves her at the parapet, leaning on the wall for so long that her whole weight has settled into it. A cream gown pale against an ochre-gold shawl and a white scarf at her neck. Below her the hills fall in rust and ochre to a gray-blue bay, and one far peak softens in the haze.

A Tangier terrace is where a household spends its evening, so the rug, the striped pouf and a brass vase of pink and lilac flowers have all climbed the stairs. A cup and saucer wait beside it. Rust-red tile runs along the foot of the cream wall, and potted shrubs mark either end with one in bloom at the far left.

Lavery, who first reached Tangier in 1891 and kept coming back, loads the table in soft strokes so it recedes while she stays sharp. Small villas dot the far slope. A bank of dark pines and a single bare tree stand behind her, and her white scarf is the brightest note in the picture. The signature sits low at the right.

Evening, Tangiers awaits your living room or bedroom as a hillside bay view painting, where the tea can wait and the whole coast is there to watch.
