Bustling Souk, Morocco - Arnold Genthe Art Print

Fine Art Prints

Forget cheap reproductions and printable posters. Only the best will do.

Velvety matte fine art paper (warm white, archival-grade, 200gsm) with bold, vibrant, non-toxic pigment inks. High-definition print lab techniques give you sharper details, deeper saturation and true-to-life tones. While the matte surface keeps glare down and archival-grade materials mean the colors you fall for stay vivid for decades.

Framed Fine Art Prints

Your print arrives framed and ready to hang, so it goes straight from the box to your wall.

Chevron cut wooden frames make a timeless statement in three distinctive colors: black, white and natural. Each frame is made of sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine. And your artwork is protected behind ultra-clear perspex glaze that’s lighter than glass and shatter-resistant.

Float Framed Canvas Prints

Luscious artist-grade cotton canvas, hand-stretched and finely textured, gives every detail depth and precision, catching light and color with striking clarity. While a precisely measured floating frame leaves a slim gap around the canvas, so it seems to hover with a sleek, gallery-worthy effect. Finished with your choice of frame color — black, white or natural — made from sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine.

Giclée Printing

Market day leaves no empty ground, and every tent is a small private argument over price. A sea of hoods and veils to a line of dark awnings strung along the back of the square, and one saddled horse wades through the middle. And the only bare dirt is the strip trampled to powder at your feet.

Arnold Genthe stands at the square's edge while hooded and veiled shoppers press toward the back, where canvas awnings make small dark tents and one steep tiled roof breaks a line of white plaster houses. A pale saddled horse waits in the middle of the crush.

Many Moroccan souks take their name from the weekday they open, and on its day the village traders arrive to fill the square. While Islamic cities kept a market inspector, the muhtasib, who walked the stalls checking weights and measures so a buyer could trust the scale. The pitched tile roof and shuttered windows at the right sit in the European-style quarter that came with the French Protectorate after 1912, and the awnings below it are the older trade.

This souk awaits your living room or study as a vintage monochrome street scene, where a whole market of strangers gives a quiet wall some company.
