About this Artwork
They tumble like peaches from a split sack into the sea’s slap and suck — all ripe, bare, grinning with summer's touch. And Lambert captures them mid-glee: three nude bodies hurled toward liquid mischief, every movement a libation to sun and salt.
One boy springs forward, caught in the act of laughing with his whole torso; another twists, exposing the curve where thigh meets flank, that impossible little valley glistening like olive oil on limestone.
Their nudity's frank and scandalous, casual and loud. Cocks swinging, limbs gleaming, moving with the hunger of boys who’ve forgotten they were once weapons. With every angle teasing another stitch free from its restraint. Life unfurled with the jut of a hip, the tension of an ankle mid-kick, their upturned faces drunk on wind and reckless abandon.
