Djurgarden Park - Eugene Jansson Art Print

Fine Art Prints

Forget cheap reproductions and printable posters. Only the best will do. Velvety matte fine art paper (warm white, archival-grade, 200gsm) with bold, vibrant, non-toxic pigment inks.

High-definition print lab techniques give you sharper details, deeper saturation and true-to-life tones.

The matte surface keeps glare down and archival-grade materials mean the colors you fall for stay vivid for decades.

Framed Fine Art Prints

Your print arrives framed and ready to hang, so it goes straight from the box to your wall.

Chevron cut wooden frames make a timeless statement in three distinctive colors: black, white and natural.

Each frame is made of sustainably sourced FSC® certified European knotless pine, finished with ultra-clear perspex glaze that’s lighter than glass and shatter-resistant.

Float Framed Canvas Prints

Luscious artist-grade cotton canvas, hand-stretched and finely textured, gives every detail depth and precision. Its natural white surface catches light and color with striking clarity.

A precisely measured floating frame leaves a slim gap around the canvas, so it seems to hover with a sleek, gallery-worthy effect.

Your choice of a black, white or natural frame: all made from sustainably sourced FSC® certified European knotless pine.

Giclée Printing

The young sailor’s grin breaks first, teeth bared beneath a flat black cap, and Eugène Jansson builds Djurgården outward from that one unguarded chuckle. His companion keeps his back to us in this Swedish Royal Navy art print, cornflower-blue collar flap spread across a near-black coat. Skeppsholmen sits a short walk behind them, Kungliga Flottan discipline loosened into an afternoon of leave.

Jansson lays it down in pastel, chalk tooth snagging the grain so sand-ochre gravel reads dry while the slope runs emerald beneath sap-green chestnut light. Stumped shadow softens both faces. Cast-iron scrollwork curls under the older man’s weight, the kind of municipal bench a royal hunting ground acquired once Stockholm opened it to anyone with a Sunday. No 1880s Stockholm park painting sits this far from ceremony.

Jansson, who lived his attachments to men under a law that made them criminal, lets the younger sailor’s smile land without comment. The naval bathhouse nudes that would come after 1904 are still far off, their first warmth sitting here on a bench. Hang this Scandinavian realism art print where people sit down together, on a gallery wall beside the kitchen door, perhaps, and let these cruising sailors linger in your room with laughter.
