About this Artwork
A body cleaved from northern oil—painted like marble trapped in flesh. Legs angle like a bronze compass resisting collapse, toes clenched against the invisible studio floor. Shoulder blades flare: twin baltic oysters cracked open, ridges lacquered in ochre and anatomical pedagogy.
One arm drags behind the torso as if wrenched from a classical fragment, while the other braces the wall—palm splayed in tactile negotiation with plaster and position. Each muscle is a fever dream: iliac crest teased into clarity, latissimus licked with shadow, vertebrae drafted like Copenhagen neoclassicism translated into raw figuration.
