About This Artwork
A twilight of touch—two hands, suspended in ceremony, one mid-fall, the other mid-thought—float above a quiet swell of darkened hills. This Evelyn De Morgan phone case captures a fragment of Night and Sleep, where myth is distilled not into grand gesture, but into the pause before it.
Each wrist arcs like a stanza, each fingertip draped in silent syntax. Here, the poppy—a symbol of dream, death, divine forgetting—slips from a goddess’s palm, not dropped, but released, like a soul returning home. The folds of rose fabric and soft-toned flesh hum with Pre-Raphaelite art devotion, yet the stillness veils something more spectral: a spiritualist whisper, the breath of the mythological painting just before it exhales.
As your phone rests inside this case, it becomes a reliquary of the symbolist 19th-century vision, a relic not of sleep alone but of transformation, passage, and the eternal dusk between wake and the otherworld. A spiritualist artwork phone cover for those who read omens in gestures, and know that beauty is a veil drawn between the worlds.
