Moroccan Procession - Arnold Genthe Art Print
About the Wall Art
Fine Art Prints

Forget cheap reproductions and printable posters. Only the best will do.
Velvety matte fine art paper (warm white, archival-grade, 200gsm) with bold, vibrant, non-toxic pigment inks. High-definition print lab techniques give you sharper details, deeper saturation and true-to-life tones. While the matte surface keeps glare down and archival-grade materials mean the colors you fall for stay vivid for decades.
Framed Fine Art Prints

Your print arrives framed and ready to hang, so it goes straight from the box to your wall.
Chevron cut wooden frames make a timeless statement in three distinctive colors: black, white and natural. Each frame is made of sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine. And your artwork is protected behind ultra-clear perspex glaze that’s lighter than glass and shatter-resistant.
Float Framed Canvas Prints

Luscious artist-grade cotton canvas, hand-stretched and finely textured, gives every detail depth and precision, catching light and color with striking clarity. While a precisely measured floating frame leaves a slim gap around the canvas, so it seems to hover with a sleek, gallery-worthy effect. Finished with your choice of frame color — black, white or natural — made from sustainably sourced FSC® certified knotless pine.
Giclée Printing

Forget 4 color CMYK. Giclée layers up to 12 — alive with deeper shadows, richer highlights and multidimensional contrasts. Pro-lab printing process helps art stay bold & breathtaking for up to 100 years. And the neo-pigment, water-based inks are 100% non-hazardous and toxin-free.
About the Artwork
An earthen tower crumbles at its crest while a column of riders slips beneath it in white wraps. Agave blades knife up through the foreground, and behind them the riders thin into a pale current moving toward the wall. This Moroccan caravan photograph by Arnold Genthe softens every edge until haze and plant and mule share one smoky texture.
Mules carry striped packsaddles. White haiks and hooded cloaks catch the only light in the frame. An olive branch darkens the upper right corner in sooty gray. Genthe, a Berlin-born doctor of philology who settled in San Francisco in 1895, left the plate's dust and scratches alone.
The ruined rampart holds its corner in crumbled earth tones, the kind of bastion wall that once ringed Moroccan towns. While pale cloth glows against the leafy dark. The mountain on the right edge dissolving into cloud. Hooves finding the path between agave and the future. Every outline giving way to grain, and each rider keeping a soft white edge.
Genthe, who worked Chinatown with a concealed camera, knew how to stand where a line of people could pass unaware. Moroccan Procession belongs in a hallway or over a bedroom dresser as a vintage travel photograph you can escape into. Following the caravan to the corner of the wall, where the line is forever arriving, the file of travelers always one slow bend ahead of you.
