In the 1880s and 1890s, championed by Octave Uzanne, he flourished in Paris’s publishing scene, collaborating with Luc-Olivier Merson, Ernest Ange Duez, and Georges Cain on sumptuous illustrated editions. He signed “Géry-Bichard” most often, leaving behind a refined, quietly enduring legacy.
