Each brushstroke is a testament to Black sci-fi iconography, where ancestral resilience and astro-mysticism collide.
Encircling her presence, cosmic glyphs and star charts evoke ancient African astral traditions, whispering of a time before the West monopolized the sky. Her Afrofuturist spaceflight carries echoes of Sun Ra’s cosmic philosophies, Octavia Butler’s speculative prophecies, and the fierce defiance of Harriet Tubman, who read the stars as maps to freedom.
