The Scent:

Sultry and intoxicating, this scent captures the essence of New Orleans, not least of which is its local fare and signature cocktail, the Sazerac — a mouth-watering blend of rye, absinthe and bitters. The base note of toasted oak evokes aging whiskey barrels, while subtle aromas of herbaceous bitters and Cajun spices lend additional layers of richness.

The Memory:

Inspired by the spirit of New Orleans, I created this rich, yet uplifting, scent for our “Big Day” in the “Big Easy.” Guests signed a toasted oak barrel that we later filled with unaged whiskey in the hopes that, like the aging spirit, our relationship would become more complex, enjoyable and smoother with each passing year. This aroma embodies the sweetness of the moment of our event, and the distinctive warmth of New Orleans’ ambiance.

HANDCRAFTED CERAMIC JARS
Handmade in small batches at the historic Shuili Snake Kiln in Taiwan, where ceramics have been made for over a century, Aerangis artisanal clay jars can be repurposed once your candle has completed its journey.

CONSCIOUS PACKAGING
From recyclable boxes to certified compostable shipping materials, Aerangis packaging is 100% plastic-free.

• Always trim the wick to ¼ inch prior to each use. This will keep the candle from smoking and will allow it to burn its best. A wick that's too long or too short will cause uneven burn and decreases the life of the candle.
• The first time using the candle, allow the wax to melt to the edge of the jar to prevent your candle from tunneling.
• Only burn candles for three to four hours at a time.
• Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans and any air currents.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Never place a candle on a glass, wooden or marble surface.
• Discontinue burning a candle when only ¼ inch of wax remains in the container.
• If the flame is creating black smoke residue on the inner side of the jar, the flame is too big. Simply extinguish the flame, wait for the candle to cool off and trim the wick down to ¼ inch before lighting it again.

Working closely with world-renowned perfumers, Aerangis carefully craft each and every fragrance to either recall precious memories, theirs or yours, to create one that will evoke memories for generations. Aerangis signature scents are inspired by the owner's most cherished memories, including a secret garden in Taiwan, a ranch and vineyard in upstate New York, and the spirit of New Orleans. While each candle begins with a personal recollection, the scent comes to life the minute you light the wick and make it part of your own unforgettable experience.

PLANT-BASED WAXES & LEAD-FREE WICKS
For a clean burn and optimal scent diffusion, Aerangis candles are made with lead-free cotton wicks and a plant-based wax blend free from synthetic dyes, parabens, and phthalates. Each candle is carefully hand poured in small batches in the USA.

THOUGHTFUL DETAILS
The Aerangis mission is to help you cultivate new scent memories, which is why each candle includes a biodegradable paper dust cover infused with wildflower seeds. Plant it in damp soil and watch it blossom into an entirely new scent experience.
