12" Large Peach Striped Round Basket - African Woven Wall Art Decor

I was lucky enough to receive this bowl through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it is beautiful. You can tell that the bowl is handmade with so much love as soon as you look at it. It is beyond beautiful. It is really a functional piece of art. I have this bowl on the center of my dining room table and plan to change what sits in it with the seasons. The quality of the bowl is far superior to anything you'd buy mass produced in a store. I definitely love that Kazi is a brand that I can feel great a out supporting as well. I plan on doing my holiday shopping here for my dearest friends and family for sure.

When I first received this woven bowl from the Stellar Product Testing Panel I wasn't sure what we would do with it, it's not the kind of thing that we would hang on the wall (though I'm sure it would look great on some people's walls). I finally realized that it is the perfect thing for my husband to unload his pockets when he gets home: his phone, wallet, all his keys, pens, markers, pocket knives, receipts, etc. This bowl is deep enough to hold all of his stuff, but it's not so big that it will look like clutter. I like that the red is muted, not bright and "in-your-face," it makes it feel more natural, and the basket is very smooth which makes it feel luxurious. It is thick and sturdy, so it feels like it will last a long time, even if my kids start to play with it. I love the little card that tells about the artist, a single mother who learned to weave from her mother and is trying to provide for her family. The mission of Kazi is one that I support, and if I had limitless resources I would buy all of their products, they are beautiful and I want to support these craftswomen.

This bowl is very nice and well made. I can tell this bowl was made with care. The colors are even throughout and there are no pieces of woven material sticking out anywhere to poke my hands. I love that it comes with a loop woven into the bottom which allows me the opportunity to hang the bowl on the wall as a decoration if wish. I also love the fact that by purchasing this bowl you can help support Kazi’s commitment to sustainability and artisans can make a fair wage for their magnificent crafting. My favorite part about this bowl is Kazi's story and commitment to doing good with the handmade merchandise. That alone makes this bowl really special, and by supporting Kazi you also are supporting good work. Aside from that, this bowl is great and multipurpose! We know it can be used as art, but my little girl especially took to it and has been using it to hold her snacks and sweet treats - so we keep it on the dining table and it's a lovely piece. It's made of a great and sturdy material... doesn't seem like it will unravel. I also love that it can be hung on the wall. I received this decorative bowl as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The bowl is high quality and hand woven by a female artisan in Uganda. I love that the company includes a removable tag on the product with the photo, name, and some information about the artisan who made the bowl. Mine was crafted by a mom who works hard to provide for her childrens’ education. I studied in Uganda for a semester in college and this bowl brought a smile to my face as I thought of all the amazing people I met there. This woven bowl is multipurpose a can be set on a table and filled with things or it can be hung up on a wall by the loop on the back. I would buy from Kazi because I love their mission to give fair wages to their artisans and their products seem to be very well made.
